​​ChatGPT Launches Apps Inside ChatGPT​​

OpenAI just rolled out the biggest ChatGPT update since GPT-5 — apps inside ChatGPT. You can now use tools like Canva for designs, Zillow for home searches, and Kayak for travel directly in your chat window.

​​New ChatGPT Developer SDK​​

OpenAI also released a developer SDK, letting third-party creators build ChatGPT apps that use its reasoning, file tools, and APIs. It’s a big step toward making ChatGPT more like an all-in-one operating system for work and creativity.

​OpenAI Adds “Instant Checkout” for AI-Driven Shopping​

OpenAI just launched Instant Checkout, a new feature that lets ChatGPT complete purchases directly within chat. After comparing products or finding deals, you can now buy items instantly without leaving the conversation. It’s another big move in OpenAI’s push to make ChatGPT a full-service shopping assistant — from discovery to payment, all in one place.

​​Sora App Officially Lands on iPhone​​

OpenAI’s Sora app is now live on the Apple App Store. You can create short, AI-generated videos from text prompts and share them instantly. ​Here's a sample video I did. As a social media platform (it’s a bit of a TikTok wannabe), I have no interest. But as a video generator…whoah! It’s quite something.

Not everyone is feeling excited about it, though.

Google is testing a new “Computer Use” mode that lets Gemini take real actions on your desktop — opening files, moving documents, and sending emails — all through natural language commands. It’s Google’s boldest move yet toward true hands-free computing.

Google is bringing Gemini AI into smart homes and Peloton workouts, letting you control lighting, review fitness data, and manage routines through conversation. The goal: a home that runs on context, not just apps.

​​Gemini 2.5 Flash Image (“Nano-Banana”) Now Live​​

Gemini’s updated image model supports ten aspect ratios — from cinematic 21:9 to vertical 9:16 — perfect for creators working across film, YouTube Shorts, and Reels. You can now blend images, preserve character consistency, and make edits via natural language.

​​Claude Sonnet 4.5 Launches​​

Anthropic’s newest model, Claude Sonnet 4.5, is its most capable yet. It improves reasoning, coding, and visual understanding while cutting errors on large projects. You’ll notice sharper performance without changing how you prompt.

​​Perplexity Comet Now Free for Everyone​​

Perplexity’s AI browser, Comet, is officially open to all — no waitlist or invite codes. Just download and go. It combines web browsing, chat, and AI summarization in one lightweight app.

​​ElevenLabs Introduces Agent Workflows​​

Agent Workflows let you visually design complex AI interactions by routing conversations to specialized “Subagents.” It’s perfect for building more advanced, multi-step voice or chat assistants.

​​Grok Imagine Creates Realistic Movie Scenes​​

Elon Musk says Grok Imagine — his new video generator — is already producing realistic movie scenes. He expects a watchable film by next year and full-quality productions by 2027.
