Google’s Nano Banana Tool Is Blowing Up the Internet

Hi Reader,

Not gonna lie, I’m drowning in AI!

Mostly it’s fun. I’m enjoying the discovery of it all. The new features and tools that show up day after day, sometimes multiple times a day, are spectacular! But it’s A LOT! And this is my full-time job! I can only imagine how you feel if you are trying to get your regular work done AND keep up with all this.

But you’ve got me! And as I sift through all of it, I’m pulling out the stuff I think is most important for you to know.

This week’s AI updates are all about refinement—tools are getting smoother, less annoying, and more useful in everyday workflows. Google dropped a wave of Gemini upgrades, including a viral on-device image editor (Nano Banana), custom Gems you can share, and a full native app for Windows. Meanwhile, Claude is now integrated into Microsoft Office, Genspark launched a privacy-first browser, and Amazon just rolled out its Zoox robotaxis on the Vegas Strip.

Big News of the Week

Gemini Nano Banana Tool Goes Viral

Gemini’s new Banana tool lets you edit and enhance images directly on your device. That means faster performance, more privacy, and more creative freedom — no cloud required.

Here's a glimpse into a great way to use it.

  1. Create a custom GPT that creates very descriptive prompts for you based on images you like.
  2. For this example, I found an image that I liked on Pinterest (see reference photo). I plugged it into GPT, and it gave me the description.
  3. I plugged that description into Nano Banana, with an existing photo of myself.

You’ll discover even more Nano Banana prompts waiting for you just below this newsletter. ↓

Google Now Lets You Share Custom Gems

If you’ve built a custom Gemini assistant for support, coaching, or content, you can now share it with teammates or the public. This makes Gemini Gems more collaborative and creates a community of specialized AI helpers.

Gemini Comes to Chrome With Agentic Browsing

Gemini is rolling out to Chrome in the U.S., and it’s not just for chatting. It can now summarize websites, autofill forms, and take actions online for you — making browsing more hands-free than ever.

Google Launches Windows App

Google’s new Windows app combines Gemini AI, search, and productivity tools in one place. It syncs across devices, so you can use Gemini natively outside the browser.

Microsoft Brings Claude Into Office 365

Microsoft is weaving Anthropic’s Claude into Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Tests showed Claude Sonnet 4 outperformed GPT-5 at making PowerPoint decks and handling complex Excel tasks.

  • Office Copilot will still cost $30/month
  • Microsoft is paying Amazon to run Claude models
  • The shift means Microsoft isn’t tied to one AI provider, giving you better tools for specific tasks.

Genspark Launches Free AI Browser

Genspark’s new AI browser runs entirely on your device for speed and privacy. (And it’s pretty awesome)

Features include:

  • On-device free AI (no cloud uploads)
  • Ad-blocking + agentic workflows
  • Autopilot mode and an MCP store
  • Available now for both Mac and PC

🚖 Amazon Debuts Zoox Robotaxis in Las Vegas Strip

Amazon just launched its first Zoox robotaxis in Las Vegas, five years after its $1.3B acquisition. The electric, steering wheel–free vehicles are offering free rides from select spots, with paid rides planned once regulators approve.

Waymo has been operating since 2020, and Tesla began tests in Austin in June, but this bold move puts Amazon squarely in the U.S. robotaxi race.

Nano Banana Is Breaking the Internet

Here are 5 prompts you should try right now...👇

  1. Turn yourself into an action figure. Prompt: "Take this photo of me and turn me into a collectible figurine inside a toy box. The box should include a clear window to show the figurine, bold graphics, and my name on the packaging. Style the figurine in a fun, toy-like way but keep my likeness recognizable. Make it look like an authentic action figure you’d find on a store shelf."
  2. See yourself in a different decade. Prompt: "Take this photo of me and transform me into a 1980s character, with big hair, neon clothes, and a retro mall arcade in the background. Update my clothing, hairstyle, and background to match the era. Make it look like an authentic portrait from that decade, with accurate fashion, colors, and overall style."
  3. Add yourself to any TV show. Prompt: "Create a realistic image of me sitting with Jerry, Elaine, George, and Kramer in Jerry’s apartment from the TV show Seinfeld. I’m part of the group, sitting on the couch with them, laughing as if I just delivered a punchline. Make sure the scene looks like a classic episode, with Jerry’s kitchen in the background and the group’s casual 90s outfits. Include me seamlessly in the style of the show."
  4. Integrating into famous art. Prompt: "Take this photo of me and insert me into Edvard Munch’s The Scream. Paint me in the same expressionist style, with bold swirling colors and dramatic brushstrokes. Place me standing on the bridge alongside the central screaming figure, blending seamlessly into the eerie, emotional atmosphere of the painting."
  5. Famous landmarks and people. Prompt: "Take this photo of me put me sitting on top of the Hollywood Sign, waving at the city below.. Make it look realistic, with accurate lighting, shadows, and perspective so it feels like I’m actually there. Keep the landmark clear and recognizable and match the overall atmosphere of the location."

Here’s a post I created using Gamma.app, based on a great Reddit thread I stumbled across: “What’s a ‘cheat code’ you discovered in real life that actually works?”

The ZenithMind Blueprint

I’ve been deep in my own work lately (and on an incredible vacation!), but I came across something from Rich Schefren that felt worth sharing with you.

You probably know his name — he’s been behind the scenes guiding some of the biggest names in online business for decades. Every now and then, he surfaces with something that really shifts how people think about business and productivity.

This time, he’s created what he calls his biggest breakthrough yet — a self-paced, AI-powered system he calls The Blueprint. It’s designed to help you remove your biggest success blockers in just a few minutes a day. I would definitely file this under “self-improvement”.

I haven’t seen anything quite like it, and knowing how deeply Rich thinks about this stuff, I thought it might be worth passing along.

Here’s the link if you want to take a look.

Hi Reader, Last week after my routine mammogram, I received a notification in my MyChart app that the results were abnormal. (I had my follow up imaging today, and all is fine, thank goodness.) But I’m sharing this here, in this weekly AI newsletter, because it was AI that saved my sanity during the very long 7 days I had to wait for my new tests. First of all, the minute I got the results, which were written in medical speak, I didn’t understand a word of it. I copied and pasted it into...
