Gmail’s AI-Powered Search Rolls Out to Business Users Gmail is introducing AI search powered by Gemini for Google Workspace accounts. Instead of keywords, you can describe what you’re looking for—even if you forget the sender or subject—and get accurate results.
Google Photos Merges Classic Search with Gemini AI Google Photos now combines traditional filters with Gemini-powered AI search for faster, smarter results. Searching for “dog pic at the lake” will get you relevant photos instantly with descriptive categories.
Google Workspace Gets “Gems,” Custom Gemini AI Assistants Google Workspace users can now access “Gems,” customizable Gemini AI assistants that specialize in specific tasks, directly from the side panel in Docs, Slides, Sheets, Drive, and Gmail. You can use your own custom chatbots or pre-made options without switching apps.
OpenAI Builds Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Rival OpenAI is working on AI-powered real-time collaboration and workspaces inside ChatGPT, challenging Microsoft with features like voice mode, file uploads, and integrations with tools like Drive and Dropbox.
Anthropic / Claude
Claude Artifacts Make Collaboration Easier Claude now lets you create and edit documents, code, and more live inside your chat, keeping your work and conversations seamlessly connected.
Study Reveals How People Use Claude for Emotional Support Only a small percentage of chats with Claude focus on emotions or companionship, but those conversations often end positively. People are using AI for coaching, advice, and simply having someone to talk to.
Perplexity AI
Perplexity AI Launches Video Clips From X Tags Perplexity AI now lets you tag @AskPerplexity on X with a prompt to create a short video clip. It’s a fun way to share ideas visually, though it also raises questions about content accuracy and usage as AI-generated videos spread.
Apple
Apple May Let OpenAI and Anthropic Power Siri Apple is reportedly in talks with OpenAI and Anthropic to let their AI models power Siri and its AI search tools, potentially boosting Siri’s smarts and competitiveness.

[New Podcast] Automate Everything: Demystifying AI Agents with Jacob Bank
This episode is a must-listen if you're a solopreneur or small business owner who's curious about AI but doesn’t speak “tech.”
I sat down with Jacob Bank, founder and CEO of Relay.app—a no-code platform that lets you build your own AI agents (even if you’ve never written a line of code). Jacob shares exactly how he uses 40+ AI agents to run marketing, support, sales, finance, and more... all without a team.
This isn’t theoretical. Jacob is doing this right now—running a full company solo, with the help of AI.
What You’ll Learn in This Episode:
What an AI agent actually is (and why it's not just a chatbot)
The simple 5-step workflow Jacob uses for repurposing content on autopilot
The one chart that changed everything (hint: it's got 40 AI agents on it)
How to think in flowcharts instead of tech terms
Why AI is still underhyped—yes, underhyped
The critical skill that every solopreneur should start building now
This is one of those episodes you’ll return to whenever you’re ready to take your business automation to the next level—it’s that good.
And don’t forget we will have our training Build Your First AI Agent with Relay.app -> July 15th at 1 PM ET. Register here
Prompt of the Week
Answer the following questions in a text document. Aim for 1-3 sentence responses per question to start. Then paste the entire document into the "Personal preferences" in Claude, or have it ready to add as a source in NotebookLM. I recommend those platforms because of their ability to share project folders with others across your team (which ChatGPT isn't able to do).
If you're not clear on any of the questions, ask the AI to help you figure it out.
Master Prompt:
1. Personal
What's your name?
What's your role?
What's the name of your company?
How do you want to use AI?
What are your strengths?
What are your weaknesses?
2. Company
When was the company established?
How many employees does it have?
Who do you report to?
Who reports to you?
What markets do you serve?
Who is your ideal customer?
What is the outcome that you give your customers?
How is your offering different from your competitors?
3. Market
Who are your competitors and what do they do?
4. Team + KPIs
Who's on the team? (salaries optional)
For each person, what is their most important performance metric or target?'
5. Products and services
What products or services do you offer?
What new products or services are you planning on offering in the future?
What does each one cost?
What are the features and benefits for each one?
How do you differentiate between offerings?
6. Culture
What are your core values as an organization?
What's your mission as an organization?
What's your biggest, most audacious long-term goal as an organization?
Quote of the Week
“You have power over your mind — not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.”
— Marcus Aurelius

Hi Reader, Hello from Ibiza! I’m on a 10-day private cruise through the Balearic Islands and thanks to AI (and my amazing team), I’m able to send you the newsletter right on schedule, and deliver my regular service and content to my subscribers and clients. That’s true leverage and what I wish for everyone! As I say a lot these days, “When AI handles the mechanical, humans can handle the meaningful”. This week’s AI updates are all about giving you more control—over your tools, your content,...
Hi Reader, AI is starting to feel less like a tool and more like a teammate. Claude now lives in your browser (I don’t have access yet, but I’ve seen what it can do and it looks promising). Just keep in mind that Anthropic will begin training Claude on user data starting September 28 unless you opt out—so it’s worth checking your settings. Meanwhile, Gemini is booking restaurant reservations, ChatGPT is stepping into full assistant mode, and Google Translate now doubles as a language tutor. I...
Hi Reader, This week I had a chance to have a little fun with AI, outside of my usual business use-case experimenting...which, if I'm being honest, is also totally fun to me. I turned ChatGPT on my phone into my personal pocket IT department, I had my ChatGPT agent find a vegan banana pudding recipe and shop for (and purchase!) the ingredients, and I thoroughly enjoyed messing around with Claude Artifact's suggested use cases. Especially this one. This newsletter is sponsored by: Superhuman...
