Weekly AI Highlights: January 23 - 30, 2026
What Small Business Owners Need to Know Right Now
Reader, this week’s updates show just how fast AI is moving from “cool sidekick” to “actual co-worker.” Chrome is introducing Gemini-powered Auto-Browse so your browser can take actions for you, not just answer questions. Claude now includes interactive tools you can use directly in chat to analyze files and create content as you go. And Moltbot (previously Clawdbot), a fast-evolving AI agent, is getting buzz for how well it automates real tasks (if you’re up for the setup). Each of these pushes AI deeper into how you actually get things done, not just what you ask it to say.
1. Chrome Takes on AI Browsers With Gemini-Powered, Agentic Features
Google is introducing Gemini Auto-Browse in Chrome, a new feature that allows the browser to take action on your behalf, not just answer questions. With Auto-Browse, Gemini can move across tabs, click through pages, gather information, and complete multi-step tasks like research, comparisons, or form-based workflows.

MY TAKE
I’ve been waiting on this and can’t imagine what took them so long. We’ve had agentic browsers (Comet, Atlas) for a while now. If Gemini Auto-Browse works as described, it could save real time on tedious, click-heavy tasks. The key will be control. You need to clearly see what it’s doing and be able to step in when needed.
ACTION STEP (DO THIS WEEK)
When Gemini Auto-Browse becomes available to you, try it on a task that normally takes multiple tabs. For example, ask it to compare products, research a topic across several sites, or gather information from different pages into one summary. Play around with it and see if it handles the clicking and gathering so you can focus on the decision-making.

2. Anthropic Adds Interactive Tools Directly Inside Claude
Anthropic has introduced interactive tools inside Claude that let you work with content directly, instead of just generating text responses. These tools allow Claude to interact with and manipulate information in real time, turning the chat into a more hands-on workspace. They work with content from software people already use, like Slack, Canva, Figma, spreadsheets, and documents, so you can analyze, edit, and refine work without jumping between apps.

MY TAKE
Claude continues to dazzle me. When your tools follow you into the conversation, AI stops feeling like an extra step and starts feeling like part of the workflow.
ACTION STEP (DO THIS WEEK)
If you use Slack, Asana, Canva, or Figma, connect one tool inside Claude and try a real task. The workflow is simple: go to claude.ai/directory, click Connect on a tool, authenticate, and start giving Claude instructions. You will know very quickly whether this saves you time or just adds another layer.

3. Moltbot, the AI Agent That “Actually Does Things,” Gains Attention
Moltbot, previously known as Clawdbot, is an AI agent designed to run locally and complete real tasks instead of just responding to prompts. It can send messages, manage files, browse the web, run code, and automate recurring workflows. Unlike most AI tools, it lives inside tools people already use, like messaging apps, and can trigger actions automatically based on time, events, or incoming messages. So, for example, I can message Moltbot on WhatsApp and ask it to:
Create a flash briefing script → convert it into an MP3 using my voice via ElevenLabs → edit the audio by adding the intro, outro, and fade in/out → then upload the final file to Captivate where my flash briefings are hosted.

MY TAKE
I haven’t messed with this yet, but my assistant Neeca has and the capabilities are impressive. Mind-blowing, really. That said, the setup is technical, and the security implications are real since you are giving an AI agent access to your accounts and files.
ACTION STEP (DO THIS WEEK)
If you’re curious and comfortable tinkering, play around with it this weekend and see if it’s something you would actually want to use long term. But, probably best to set it up on a second device that you’ve given a factory reset. It’s worth keeping an eye on this because this is where we are all headed.

NEW WORKSHOP: Leveraging AI To Create LinkedIn Content That Grows Your Business with Scott Aaron
February 4th at 12 PM ET / 9 AM PT / 5PM UK.
In this session, Scott will walk you through his complete system for turning AI into your LinkedIn content engine:
- Why it all starts with optimizing your profile
- Inviting the right people into your network who would engage with your content
- Creating content that is directed towards your ideal client
- Using a simple AI prompt process to create up to 6 posts per week on LinkedIn in little to no time.
- How your AI-powered content creates engagement, leads, and sales in your business.
(Just click. No need to type in your email, we already have it.)
PROMPT OF THE WEEK
Claude on web is just so good at hyperlinking links now. We’ve got the instructions in our projects, skills, and memory down so that whenever we provide a link (or multiple links), it hyperlinks them all in the body of the text it writes for us automatically. To do the same (or add your own rules), try something like this (w/ code execution on):
Try this prompt:
Every time I provide a link, always hyperlink it in the body of the text for me (as opposed to at the end), typically on the main action or subject; only link the 2-3 key words max.
[If pasting the body of the text to reference and the link for multiple sources]: Make sure to hyperlink all links provided in context where the referenced content is used.

The Bottom Line
This week shows AI moving directly into execution. Chrome is introducing agentic browsing that handles clicks and tasks for you. Claude is keeping work inside the chat instead of bouncing you between tools. And Moltbot offers a preview of what happens when agents get real access to systems. The upside is speed. The tradeoff is control. Knowing when to supervise and when to step in will matter more than adopting every new feature.
